Senior year deserves more than a rushed photo before the ceremony. Maybe you're a Liberty senior who wants portraits that feel like you. Maybe you're a high-school senior visiting campus. Either way, this one is all about you and I'm going to make a fuss over you. One-on-one is where I get people to loosen up fastest — I'll talk you through every frame, so you never have to wonder what to do with your hands. I'm a Liberty student, and I photograph campus life as a student photographer on the Photography Team in Liberty University's Marketing Department. This campus is home turf.
My style is light, golden and genuine: real laughs over stiff poses. Senior year is a big deal, and my energy matches it. I show up excited about your session, and that tends to rub off by about the third frame. We'll pick spots that mean something to you, chase the best light of the day, and make it fun. Summer is the best time to ask. I plan fall sessions before the semester gets busy, and spring sessions - campus in bloom - over the winter.
On campus - the Academic Lawn, the Freedom Tower, the LU Monogram at sunset - or around Lynchburg: Riverfront Park downtown, or a Blue Ridge Parkway overlook if you are up for an adventure session. One note on the campus side: Liberty's photography policy means a campus session gets cleared with the University's Marketing Office ahead of time, and I take care of that part.
Absolutely, and those are some of my favorite sessions. If you are touring Liberty and want senior photos on campus while you are here, tell me your visit dates and I will build the session around them. Fair warning: I will probably try to talk you into coming here.
Two or three outfits you feel great in, and anything that tells your story - a jersey, an instrument, your letter jacket. Bring the thing your friends would pick you out of a crowd for. And bring a friend along if you want one - a hype person makes everybody photograph better.
Please do. Bring whoever you want in the photos, and tell me at the start who they are - I will build a running order so the group frames get done while the light is still good, and then it is back to just you. Nobody stands around, and nobody has to be told twice.
